Dues Important Read

As mentioned in the previous note the 5K brought in over $4000 for our Pack and Troop!
This profit is passed on to the scouts that were registered as of March 2020. The amount of $80 will be credited to each scout's re-registration/dues of $145 this year. That leaves $65 due per scout by the end of October.
We are offering an "Early Bird" offer: five dollars off each re-chartering adult/scout if I receive it before October 16th ($60/scout/adult re registering-not new scouts). Checks need to be made out to "Pack 127" (not Troop 127). This goes for all scouts in 127-boy scouts and cub scouts. It can be handed into Rusty at a Troop meeting or mailed to our new adress (Dawn Waldrop, POBox 483, Rodanthe, NC 27968).
The amount above DOES NOT include Boy's Life. If you wish for your scout to receive Boys Life you need to add $12 & write Boys Life on the memo line.
Adult fees this year are $66 ($42 BSA + $24 Council fee). Five dollar off early bird offer good for re-registering adults also. As noted in previous note we are in need of registered adults in the Pack-contact me if you are interested in assisting in some way.
Council is not offering a 3rd family member free from their council fee like in the past. There is a "2021 Program Fee Specific Assistance Request" available for those families who are facing financial hardship. Email me if you think you may qualify (remember use my new email listed below). This is only for the $24 Council Fee. I will need the form completed along with your dues. It is not guaranteed, a council volunteer commitee will do its best to equitable allocate the funding available.
** See previous Note about Popcorn sales and Camp Cards. Both great ways of paying yourself back the dues and even earning more money. You keep the profit of everything you sell.
As always contact me if you have any questions!

September 2020

Hope this finds everyone safe and healthy.
Den Leaders should be contacting you about your scout's awards and upcoming den meetings. Due to Covid we do not have any Pack meetings planned as of yet. Troop has been meeting for the past month successfully with safety restrictions.
Cub Scouts Parents: None of this should stop your scout from working towards their next rank. If they are a webelos or AOL we ask that they share their completed requirements with their leader whenever possible (at den meeting and or on video call). Using a notebook and/or folder to keep notes will be useful.

5K Top Sellers (brought in the most in donations): Dylan S. (Troop) and Brantley (Pack)
Winners for the donated gift cards were chosen from all race registrants and will be delivered.
The 5K brought in over $4000 for our Pack and Troop! This profit is passed on to the scouts that were registered as of March 2020. The amount of $80 will be credited towards each scout's re-registration/dues of $145 this year. Additional Leader Note coming concerning dues and reregistration and collection procedure.

Popcorn Sales: If interested in selling (all done online for our Pack/Troop this year) you must contact Natalie Twiddy by email at nrtwiddy@yahoo.com, then text her at 252-202-3321 telling her you sent an email concerning online popcorn sales. She will set you up. Do this asap if you are interested since sales are going on now. All proceeds (minus council's %) will be reimbursed to you at end of sale in December/January. Pack/Troop keeps none of it. Great way to reimburse dues/reregistration and or use towards summer camp...

Camp Cards: Another no cost way of earning money for camps or reregistration is to sell local camp cards. These cards sell for $10 ($5 of which is kept by the scout) and have discounts from local places (Currituck, Elizabeth City, OBX...). Sign out as many as you want (no money up front) and return $5/card sold and any unsold cards. I will post picture of card as soon as I am able. Sale going on now through October 31st. Let me know asap if you are interested and how many you'd like to sign out.

Friendly reminder that we stressed that each and every family support our Pack/Troop by volunteering in some way. Without each of you assisting, our Pack/Troop cannot remain the great Pack/Troop it is able to be! That being said the Pack needs adult volunteers willing to do online training and register so it can continue to exist and grow. Pack positions needed for next year: Cub master, Committee Chair, Committee members, Den Leaders. Troop parents your expertise could be used at the Pack level too! Please contact me asap if you are interested and willing!

Everyone please note my new email address below. Please email me so I can add you into my address book. Thank you
